Went for the class chalet on Friday night :") although in all honesty we did not do shit (can't blame anyone, it was only one night) but being together with the people that I really love was all that matters. It has been two years since our last class chalet (and the last one had the O Levels results release in the middle which was totally anti-climax) and I've missed seeing many of my friends <3 font="font">3>
EVERYONE STILL LOOKS THE SAME THE SAME THE SAME. Ok maybe except for Chan Yong but EVERYONE ELSE LOOKS THE SAME. EVERYONE STILL HAD THE SAME OLD PERSONALITIES AND EVERYONE WERE STILL SO 4WES0M3. Had a really wonderful time.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH TO LIHUI FOR ORGANIZING THIS AND LITO FOR ENSURING THAT IT RAN WELL :)
Wouldn't have been possible without the two of you <3 font="font">3>
Life has been good with good food, and of course with good food comes good amounts of fats and spending tonnes of money. Speaking of food, I really should start having the habit of bringing my camera around again. Phone camera photos are terrible and it just makes me lazy to blog them cause I'd just Instagram them. Instagram makes lazy bloggers >(
Friday afternoon had a partly impromptu and last minute lunch with my dearest Jean and Jolene. Finally got to eat the much raved about Bornga at Star Vista~ it was alright I guess nothing exceptional, and probably the first time I've eaten Korean food in a really really long time.
Once again we ordered too much but we still finished it /BOSSES :D ok I admit I ate one piece of beef but that was cause I felt sorry for Jean who had to eat one whole plate (cause I conveniently forgot that Jolene does not eat beef either sigh I am such a terrible friend). And I realized what made beef so bloody attractive to so many people that they say beef is their favorite meat. Cause it was really, really good.
The pork was good too but in all honesty the beef was nicer.
Btw I have to give extra Kudos to the restaurant staff for changing all the meat in the soups / bimbimbabs and all to pork after finding out that two of us did not eat pork. Good, proactive service that I absolutely appreciate.
That meal induced a love for bimbimbab in me so if anyone wants to eat healthy bimbimbab please ask me along alright :D :D :D /excuses
Oh and it was when I realized that Korean food is actually really healthy? Carcinogenic barbeque aside, the meal was full of vegetables and I am proud to announce that I ate more salad in that one meal than I usually eat in a week! Round of applause please :D
The bill looked gross though but whatever, the food was good and I am satisfied :)
After that we ate at Awfully Chocolate at Star Vista. I pity the service staff lol they have to put shitloads of make up and wear a white skirt. And they are all girls. Imagine getting your period and having to work in a white skirt. I think I will totally cry.
The last time I ate there was with Cordelia before he left. We ate the hei ice cream and it was really rich and good. And Cordelia bought me the brownie to bring back to work which I later shared with Ganesh. The brownie was... well not up to my expectations, but that was probably cause I expected A LOT from what Cordelia said.
Well the cakes were good though, really good. We ordered the Hazelnut Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Stack Cake (or something like that). It was good but the bill was absolutely disgusting (note: the bill for the BBQ was described as gross but this has been described as absolutely disgusting). So it just made the cakes not that worth it... :( like wth would you pay $13 for two fucking slices of cake lol. NTY I'd rather bake my own cake. Which I may, soon :)
Saturday night ate at Hanseng at Turf City. Yes, you read it right KOREAN BBQ TWO DAYS IN A ROW. As expected, Hanseng was compared with Bornga that was just eaten a day ago.
It can be summed at simply, that Bornga > Hanseng in the areas below:
1) Bornga had good service. The Hanseng service staff heard Ginger Tea as Ginseng Tea. Terrible.
2) Hanseng has a few dishes that are served only as set meals and they do not serve them ala carte. JSYK.
3) Hanseng is at a fucking ulu place. Imagine trying to walk into Turf City just to eat Korean BBQ? NTY NTY NTY.
BUT. Hanseng > Bornga cause of one teeny weeny thing.
They had this huge ass screen that was playing the YG Family Concert (Y) so you can imagine how my brother and I were singing throughout the whole dinner (and of course, not to mention, throwing face).
Looking forward to this week! :D of course not in terms of work, work is expected to be terrible. I am looking for a job that actually pays so if anyone has lobang, please tell me TYVM TYVM :D
Beginning of week resolutions:
1) BRING MY CAMERA AROUND.
2) EXERCISE MORE and
3) PRACTISE MY MUSIC BEFORE I FORGET EVERYTHING. Labels: daily, food, friends, resolutions
