❝ OTTOLENGHI ❞

Went back to what used to be my favorite restaurant. Over the course of the year I found that the food varies from "above average" to "pretty good", and I have learnt not to order their sponge cakes because they tend to be on the dry side.

Dragged Lynn and Daisy with me this time; I love it when the people I eat with eat as much as I do. Otherwise, I'd get really disappointed and unhappy :P

Salads: Poached Quince; Roasted Aubergines

Mains: Venison; Sea Bass; Lamb; and one more that slipped my mind :P (sorry no photos as we literally attacked the food)

Pudding: Pecan Pie - albeit small, it packs a punch, especially the wonderfully molten caramel that oozes out the moment you cut into it (sorry for revealing its secret);
Carrot and Walnut cake - which we ordered despite my recommendation that we shouldn't because Ottolenghi's sponge cakes tend ton be dry, and I was right;
Pumpkin Cheesecake - the pecan brittle. I was sold. Everyone loves a good brittle.
