Partly because I had a nap from about half 7 to 11 + it is so difficult for me to sleep now anyway with my terrible nose.
I got my flu on Sunday, when the temperature suddenly dropped and I was wearing a hoodie and a skirt. According to Calvs it was -2 at night (lol wtf T_T)
But anyways it is the usual sinus which pisses the fuck out of me cause it isn't one of those things that clears easily (for instance, by blowing your nose). My best cures for it has been:
1. Nasal sprays, but the effect works for like 15 minutes or something -.-
2. Sinus tablets, which are incredibly expensive and I should cut down being a pill popper and
3. Cardio, which makes me feel amazing for half a day until my sinus hits again wtf. And with a flu I get realllyyy lazy; plus I disturb people with my flu because I am constantly sniffing and sniffing.
But anyways I didn't want to get close to Oisin because I didn't want to pass it to him, but he insisted that I kiss him because I already did and "the only thing that (I) can pass to (him) are antibodies" (Maguire 2014 n/p).
Which is really sweet and I am impressed by how he is more disciplined than I am when it comes to working out now \m/ which rarely anyone can surpass haha. I should be concerned about how he's going to attract the chicks now :'(

But anyway we had Greek food with Maria who sneakily sneakily paid for it. Hmph. It was incredibly amazing though because I LOVE MY GREEK like who doesn't.
Especially my taramasalata omg.
"Taramasalata is traditionally made from taramas, the salted and cured roe of the cod or the carp,
though blends based on other forms of fish roe have become more common.
The roe is mixed with either bread crumbs or mashed potato, and lemon
juice, vinegar and olive oil. It is usually eaten as a dip, with bread and/or raw vegetables." (Wikipedia)
So in my boredom while waiting for my photos to be uploaded I went to research on how to make taramasalata and it doesn't seem too impossible and anyway if I fail I can just eat more (!!!) love cooking projects like these; thank god for a massive kitchen that is clean. It's just a pity that I don't have a food processor + mixer; will probably look into getting one the next academic year so that I can start baking again.
I can just live on taramasalata. And hummus. I swear if this keeps going on I won't be able to stay in Singapore anymore. My diet has moved to become so... Well I wouldn't say western but a lot of things I live on are not widely available in Singapore. Things like rye, and hummus (though TBF I can just buy chick peas and make them by myself) and things like lentils.
YES LENTILS. Another reason why I love Greek food. It is so full of peas and beans. And ok apart from the fact that I ate this at a restaurant Mediterranean food is actually incredibly healthy? I should invest time in learning how to make Mediterranean food so that I can make them for myself.
The food was amazeballs and I had a hard time practicising self-control because I tend to just nomnomnnom and we all know how mezes are. And I just nom so much bread and dips (OMG DIPS. I LOVE DIPS) and then I get full when the main course comes.
That isn't all of the food though; got way too ravenous to sit down calmly to take photos :P
And Oisin took his off day from Lent today and we had Greek coffee which was really interesting. Different but interesting. I went to research on how to make Greek coffee but evidently I won't be able to recreate it at home because I lack the tools (and obviously I can't roast coffee freshly at home) so imma just stick to my Aeropress :P
---
So after I got home I went to Lidl (and I secretly put on a coat you know how I HATE dressing warmly but then I decided it was necessary to indulge in manly, bodily needs for once). I needed to get the ingredients for my pizza party tomorrow!
Looking forward to it omnomnomnom~ :) Labels: college, daily, food, friends
