❝ DRAMA: Gentleman's Dignity ❞
Spam watched Gentleman's Dignity over the long Vesak Day weekend and DAMN IT WAS AWESOME. I laughed and laughed and cried and cried. Definitely one of the best dramas that I have ever watched :')
Jang Dong-gun is unbelievably charismatic (and I am pretty damn sure if I met such a guy IRL I'd totally fall in love with him? Nevermind that he is old.)
Though I am still unconvinced about my ability to fall in love haha. Still waiting for the knight in shining armor to sweep me off my feet. If not I am going to be a spinster / old maid for life (mentally prepared).
Like come on given how much I eat and how high maintenance I am? Tsk.
Anyways back to Gentleman's Dignity.
And I love Gentleman's Dignity for being such a relatively "open" show
given that it is Korean (i.e. conservative, Asian...). For one, Jang
Dong-gun's character openly admits to sleeping around. Another character
decided to give up having a baby and adopt (ok more of sponsor)
children. I think if I ever told my father (Chinese, Asian) of my
intentions to not have kids and adopt, he would totally disown me.
Kim Woo Bin was still as handsome as ever (kyaaa) though his role was very very small. LEE JONGHYUN LEE JONGHYUN OMG I was spazzing non-stop inside, my heart was stirring whenever he had a scene. I love how he speaks Japanese, I love his face, I love him I LOVE HIM. Had to rewatch long scenes of him talking + playing the guitar again and again just cause.
Lee Jonghyun did not have to act for his character please.
Music loving? Check.
Guitarist + Singer? Check.
Brought up in Japan? Check.
Colin Black was pretty much just HIM. It was as though the role was made for him HAHAHA. In the show he mentioned that he loved Eric Clapton & etc - which he really does IRL.
Hated how he said that his favorite groups were SNSD, T-Ara + I don't know what other girl groups that I dislike. HE SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT HE LOVED CNBLUE OK HAHAHA. Ok sorry spazz over.
Intending to start on TWDR over Bali :DD initially wanted to watch My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (yes, I still have not watched that show T____T) but the show on Funshion was chinese dubbed so no thank you please fuck off.

DRAMA 1: SUCKOMANIA TIME SLIP DOCTOR JIN
The only thing that kept me going was that it was the only bonding time between my mama and I and it was perfect for a good post-Kraze chill.
Well I did not think the show was ~that~ bad but Dramabeans utterly slammed it (with wonderfully written humor and sarcasm that I will never be able to recreate). Probably because I did not spam watch the drama, but instead watched 3/4 (fuck adverts in Singapore) an episode a day on Channel U.
The show sucked la do not bother watching it. Congratulations to me though, for lasting 22 episodes of rubbish. Spent most of the time multitasking though. Putting the photo of this guy here just cause he is cute.
Random but WTF I just heard the City Hunter OST from the TV. Meaning that they are still showing that show? OK City Hunter is a wonderful show and it made me see the Lee Min Ho I hated in another light but hasn't Channel U been playing this show since fucking forever? Just occurred to me that I ever did a post on City Hunter. Now, only if I can find it......
DRAMA 2: SCHOOL 2013
I did not know about this show initially (WHY WAS THERE SO LITTLE VIBE ABOUT THIS SHOW HURHUR IT DESERVES MORE THAN THIS) but fuck yeah it was awesome.
The storyline was great cause it was something significantly different from the norm (i.e. Romance, Romance, Impossible Scenarios, etc.) albeit under developed.
The Bromance inside more than made up for the romance and I absofuckinglutely loved the two handsome boys (so much that I changed my Line AND What's App display photos for them).

Knew of Lee Jong Suk since Secret Garden days (even then he was pretty damn cute) but only took notice of him in School 2013. As for Kim Woo Bin, most knew him from Gentleman's Dignity but I have not watched that show yet :( starting on it soon!
Lee Jong Suk just filmed a new drama that is screening in June, cannot wait to watch him again :)
I love how they are BFFs in real life too *~* was talking to Yiyi about how the true feelings between the actors can be conveyed to the viewer. We discussed a few examples, namely City Hunter - how one can feel that they have genuine feelings for each other. I was over the moon when they got together IRL but sigh why must they break up T__T Queen In Hyun's Man - where the feelings were one sided (from the dude but not from the chick). Reflected too, in how the guy confessed to the girl but the girl needed time to decide IRL. Princess' Man - where although feelings were felt they never got together? WAIIII. School 2013 - as discussed above~

Just came to the realization that I have not blogged in a really really long while haha. Oh wow just disappeared to slack again. Procrastination is evident even in my blogging HAHAHAHA. First things first, super big THANK YOU to my dearest xoxoxo LIHUI for helping me get my BLUE MOON WORLD TOUR 2013 tickets! Are you jealous are you jealous are you jealous? :D
Even after she got the ticket I still have not entered the site lol TMD cannot decide if CNBLUE's fanbase is bigger than I thought or Sistic is more hopeless than I thought. Quite convinced that it is the latter. AND, wonderful Lihui got tickets for the JAY CHOU CONCERT! Also known as her wedding. It has always been an incredibly difficult journey to get Jay Chou tickets, and it has always been Lihui who found ways to get them hehe :D :D :D thank you so much dear~ :D
On that note, listening to Opus 12 now, sounds good good so far :) excited for the concert! Though for now cannot put the music into my iPod cause the titles are all wrong and I am lazy to edit /lazy bitch.
Wasting way too much money on concerts. However, thank you thank you for all coming this year when I am free and I am still here. Though I cannot imagine how crazy I'd go in London, given that most world-famous artistes have performances in London HIAHIAHIA SPEND ALL MY MONEY ON CONCERTS! :D :D :D
Have been having a terrible illness over the past few days. Have been worried that it is Dengue but thank god it isn't :D after a crazy work day at Istana on Sunday, I woke up on Monday with a terrible sore throat and headache. It later promoted to a fever and cough :( had to take an MC for two fucking days and not earn an income for two fucking days. TMD.
AND CAN ANYONE INVENT SOME IMMEDIATE CURE FOR FEVER INSTEAD OF ASKING PEOPLE TO TAKE PARACETAMOL AND SLEEP CAUSE THAT IS PROBABLY THE MOST PAINFUL THING TO DO EVER LIKE SERIOUSLY.
Made it in time for my last day of work at MOE yesterday! :D the stint was really short (two weeks) and we were really badly paid, but fuck it I had awesome, kind, sweet, caring, wonderful colleagues :) I guess they made the job a lot more wonderful and enjoyable :')
Nothing much is up for the next few days, gonna be slacking today first and hanging out with the A Level kiddos, then going for my weekend job tomorrow followed by dinner and a sleepover at Jolene's house (again hiahiahiahia) and then I have to go and find a new job! Any lobangs recommend please thanks :D :D :D

I am finally able to blog on this crappy office computer by downloading Chrome :D despite the fact that I can haz no administrator rights wheee.
Life has been really good and slack and I am really glad that I can finally meet many friends after so long :D :D :D had lunch with Woonz today (although the last time we met was like 3 days ago HAHA) and I will be meeting Cordelia tomorrow! And of course my favoritest Managuarians!
Had a terribly slack day at work - times like these you feel as though having work >>>> not having work at all. I feel quite bad - I have been going home at like 10PM everyday cause I go to yoga straight after work. Feels as though I have been neglecting my family and shit.
Currently planning an awesome trip to Thailand. Shall go home to ask my mama and papa if I can go hiahiahiahiahia :D the last time I went there was in 2008 - when I had to transit to go to Bhutan. Stayed there for only a night :( excited! :D
Last night I finished Nice Guy / Innocent Man. Honestly the ending was, like Jean said, so fucking bizarre.
I didn't understand the ending cause it was terrible. Had to consult Jean and then read a bunch of forums to understand.
Moreover the show was getting draggy towards the end and I had to use shitloads of determination to persevere through that whole pile of shit. It was like "OK OK ONE MORE HOUR ONE MORE FUCKING HOUR". Finally finished it so now I can get back to running and staying fit and not sitting on a chair and watching dramas non-stop haha.
Nonetheless, for the most of the show, it was pretty awesome. Spoke a lot for Song Joong Ki's acting ability. Been having too much of SJK recently, but that's alright given that my resolution is to finish all his shows :D :D :D

For most of the show though, hated the stupid evil bitch. And this show, surprisingly didn't make me cry despite the fact that Fish said that she cried a lot...?
Hate how many dramas have disgusting endings. Disgusting. This is why they always say to finish with the best cause that's what people remember the most? There, here you go. All I remember is its terribad ending. Endings should be easy to understand, and satisfying. This ending was rushed (whoo suddenly flashed to 7 years later and badam who and who got together, who got out of jail, Attorney Park suddenly became ok)... and confusing? There was a whole voice over of Maru's prayer:
"And that in the next life, I would definitely meet Eun-ki, and we’d experience that ordinary kind of love that everyone does, the simple kind of love that everyone in the world, no matter who they are and what they do, gets to experience. That ordinary kind of love. I want to start all over again. This is what I think I prayed to God.”
“What kind of person she is… I would ask those who know her. And at times, I’d hang around outside her house. And at times, because I want to look good in front of her, I’d learn the old school trot dance that her father likes, and learn baduk, and learn how to eat all different kinds of foods without being picky. And at times, I’d memorize all the songs of her favorite pop artists. And at times, I’d go to the place she frequents and wait for her the whole day.”
“I’d tell her I miss her if I miss her, and I’d say I long for her when I do. I’d feel excitement and gratitude. To date like other people… I think I prayed for it.”
Which sort of gave the impression that it was either the next life or that they started over again? But the conversation with a little girl (whose surname is Kang wtf I thought the girl was his daughter cause of the surname...? Gave me false hope.) revealed that... He lost his memories and that he cannot remember anyone; while the scenes showed Eun-Ki taking photos of him, trying to attract his attention; while he goes to Eun-Ki's bakery everyday despite the fact that the food is terrible (according to the little girl). The last scene was his proposal.
WHAT THE FUCK REALLY? Everything doesn't make sense.
I only understood later, that he got facial blindness. Which means he remembers Eun-Ki but probably didn't recognize her. And the proposal scene, of him proposing with the rings that he bought many years ago (Episode 17 IIRC), subtly showed that he remembered already.
Like WTF mind blown IDE. Thank you for leaving a lasting mark of mind fuckedness in my brain LOL. Moreover, how cliche can it be lol. Losing memory and shit, exactly like Eun-Ki in the earlier episodes. Evidently, they ran out of awesome ideas.
(Oh btw off topic, if you actually counted the years, he was 39 by the time he proposed to her. What the?)
Nonetheless, this show spoke well enough of Song Joong Ki and I am thoroughly impressed. Especially when I compare his performance here to his performance in SKK Scandal. I miss the him in SKK though. I feel like rewatching it just for him <3 font="font">
Still at work waiting for 530PM when I shall leave and go to yoga and do yoga with Bessy :) so excited hehe finally someone doing yoga with me!
Right now I am currently pretty happy and satisfied with life :) except that I am entirely lost when it comes to work PFFT. And I fear that everyone that I always work with at Meritus doesn't want to work anymore...... :((((
So, while waiting for my photos to load so that I can upload my actual post on China, I shall do a drama review for the fun of it hehehe.
This drama is a classic, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, also more affectionately (and lazily known as SKK). This drama kept reminding me of Parky cause of her dearest Micky HAHAHA. Finally spelled his name correctly :)
It started off really well and promising and I was addicted to the show, but meh after a while it got painfully boring. I was struggling to plough through the last few episodes and I was only watching it out of the need to finish it rather than genuinely interested in the story.
And there was little or no chemistry between the two main leads - I just did not feel anything, probably partially because of the fact that MinMin (Park Minyoung and Lee Min Ho) was my OTP :(
Nonetheless I absolutely enjoyed Song Joong Ki's performance. He was wonderful, given that his usual roles involve playing a really emotional and sentimental guy. He was the only one that could make me laugh in the movie :)
Love how him and Koro (Yoo Ah In) are so incredibly adorable <3 font="font">
Song Joong Ki is going to make me cry tomorrow though, when I watch Wolf Boy. Very very excited. Although technically I am deigned to remain at home tomorrow given the fact that my parents are throwing a party, but I really cannot tank :( initially intended to watch it online tonight, because Jean said that she saw it online but I could not find it :( and I think the movie is closing on Tuesday T______T

I spend my mornings doing yoga and the rest of the day hanging out with my BBs or doing what I have to do I guess.
Just had my Oxon Interview today. I do not think it went terribly well it feels as though all my preparation has gone to waste...? I felt I was overly relaxed I just remember talking a lot of shit and laughing. I enjoyed the second interview more, partially because I admit that I am weak in Physical Geography. This, I blame on IB for having too little weightage on Physical Geography.
The second interview... I think I spoke shit. Like justifying how China is not a capitalist country. I think I suck.
Anyways. Finally it is over and I am finally available to do all the shit that I have always wanted to do. And I am absolutely prepared for the worst. As Lucas says, my second choice is many people's dream. I guess at the end of the day we all learn to be satisfied with what we have I guess :)
Yesterday I watched Cold War with Lihui, Peiqi and Shiwei :)
It was awesomely fun but it was shortlived cause I had to leave early :'( The show was incredible though. Once again shows you how awesome those Hong Kong police shows are. And it is unbelievable how old men like Aaron Kwok and Andy Lau can still be so. Fucking. Hot.
I swear. Fucking hot.

❝ Drama: Goong, Queen In-Hyun's Man (QIHM) ❞
Now that IB is over I am enjoying my journey with no life. Having no life in doing what I actually want to do. Spent the last few days spamming dramas and today I will be baking ^^v Finished Goong in two days. I know this is incredibly overdue as it is a super old show and like the whole world has already watched it before. However I told myself that since it is such an old (and not to mention classic) show, I HAVE to watch it. No regrets. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Just hate that it is always the crappy guy that gets the girl and the really really sweet and wonderful guy does not get her. Hmph. I felt that the show was incredibly draggy at times, but I guess overall it was really enjoyable. Cried my eyes out watching it ;_____; And then I moved on to watching Queen In Hyun's Man. As advised I read the recaps for the first two episodes and started watching from the third episode onwards. The show was, as per the review, "what it lacks in storyline more than makes up in its style.". It was severely lacking in storyline, so much that I can predict what happens next LOL. However, it was really really well filmed. I did not like it that much because I felt that it was lacking in emotions. I did not shed a single tear until the last episode, and I think the only reason I cried then was that the female lead was crying her eyes out.
It was a really good show though. I am really really glad too that Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo are together IRL. The two of them are my new OTP and I hope the last together forever and ever! Really wish that my other OTP, Park Shi Hoo and Moon Chae Won will get together though T.T And yes, today I shall start baking. I should really pray to the baking gods to bless my baking not to screw up :D :D :D I feel like starting a new blog anew, not like anyone reads this anyway hahaha. Wondering if I should migrate...

Yesterday. JAY CHOU CONCERT :D It was great great :D Lihui + Eveline + Eveline's junior + Eveline's junior's friend :D
It just passed like in a daze. Lihui kept saying it feels as if it just happened for 5 minutes haha! And it was the longest time my phone was kept off! Not really because of the concert, but more of the fact that Starhub was being a bitch. Reminds me of that time when my phone could only call and could not send / receive SMSes and I was crying like mad to Obiwan and then suddenly. Can work liao WTF.
The concert was like any other concert. Tonnes of bright lights, the paka-paka effect (I was so worried that I would start hallucinating I looked away) and et cetera, but the only difference was that it was JAY CHOU!
But great job to my family, they had to ruin it for me by fighting and then blaming me in the middle of the fucking concert. Oh well.
After the concert, Lihui and I took the first train to Dhoby Ghaut MRT and we decided to hurry take 106 / 77 before we miss the last bus! Long ride home and Lihui was sleeping and I was wondering when to wake her up xP luckily she woke up at Holland V -phew- ^^
During the train to Dhoby Ghaut (in which we took the cirlcle line) there was this guy who was being a complete bitch by insulting Jay Chou. "Who is Jay Chou? Is he British?" zzz and then Lihui and I were blatanly insulting him DAMN LOUDLY> Guess he didn't realize. Stupid.

Before that we were watching Secret together ^^ He watched it yesterday cause his girlfriend wanted to watch and he wanted to watch again today @.@ and even though it was the fifth time I was watching (and basically knew what was going to happen) I still have the amazing ability to cry.
And then I got a phone call. Maid: Qun! You okay or not Kai say you crying. Me: Huh? No lah we watching movie just now what. See? Stupid brother.
